Major League Rugby is a professional USA league that began in 2018 and has teams in the U.S. and in Canada. Current MLR teams include Austin Elite Rugby, Glendale Raptors, Houston SaberCats, New Orleans Gold, Rugby United New York, San Diego Legion, Seattle Seawolves, Toronto Arrows, and the Utah Warriors. In 2020, teams in Atlanta, New England, and Washington, D.C. will join the league and have exhibition matches in 2019.

He is from Durban, South Africa. Davies graduated from Westville Boys High School. He then went to Brigham Young University from 2009 to 2012 and helped the team win two National Championships. Glendale Raptors Flyhalf Will Magie The Glendale Raptors have a halfback combination of Eagles Will Magie at flyhalf and Shaun Davies at scrumhalf. The 26-year-old Magie is from London, England. He is 6’0″ tall and weighs 190 pounds. Magie attended the Merchant Taylor’s School in Northwood, a London suburb, from 2003 through 2010. Seattle Seawolves & Mozac Samson The Seattle Seawolves have signed 32 year old Prairie Wolf Pack center and 2015 Canadian Rugby Championship titlest, Mozac Samson. Mozac Samson was born in Fiji and began playing rugby as a youngster. He moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2005, after graduating from high school to continue his education and began playing for the Fort McMurray Knights. He later joined the Calgary Saints Rugby Football Club and has played representative rugby for the Prairie Wolf Pack since 2009. Glendale Raptors & New Orleans Gold MLR Pre-season The Glendale Raptors began their exhibition season with a 38-14 win against the New Orleans Gold Rugby Club on  March 10 at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado. Preceding the match, was a high school match between Regis Jesuit and Jesuit NOLA High Schools. Regis Jesuit High School claimed a 53-17 win. Glendale Raptors vs. New Orleans Gold: MLR Exhibition The Glendale Raptors begin their exhibition season against the New Orleans Gold Rugby Club this Saturday, March 10 at 3 pm MST at Infinity Park. Houston SaberCats vs. Ontario Arrows The Houston SaberCats hosted the Ontario Arrows on March 3 in their last pre-season match at Constellation Field in Sugarland, Texas. The team still has away matches still against the New Orleans Gold and the San Diego Legion prior to their Major League Rugby season opener on April 21.
