Major League Rugby is a professional USA league that began in 2018 and has teams in the U.S. and in Canada. Current MLR teams include Austin Elite Rugby, Glendale Raptors, Houston SaberCats, New Orleans Gold, Rugby United New York, San Diego Legion, Seattle Seawolves, Toronto Arrows, and the Utah Warriors. In 2020, teams in Atlanta, New England, and Washington, D.C. will join the league and have exhibition matches in 2019.

Rugby New York will have Uruguay international Wilton Rebolo returning for the second year of his contract for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. After playing with Colorado XO, Kaleb signed with Rugby United New York during Summer 2021. Rugby United New York re-signed Sakaria Taulafo for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 38-year-old (39 in January) loosehead prop is 6’0″ and 255 lbs. Sak played 661 minutes in 14 matches, 12 as a starter, and scored one try for New York in 2021. Following the conclusion of the season, he signed a two-year contract with Graulhet in the French Fédérale 1 league. Les is from Canberra, Australia, however, his father Joseph was born in Canada, and his mother Lave in Samoa, which makes him eligible to play for three national teams. Les played club rugby with the Queanbeyan Whites since 2012 and played in the inaugural National Rugby Championship in 2014 with Canberra Vikings.
