Rugby FC Los Angeles Adds Wilton Rebolo

Rugby Football Club Los Angeles has signed Brazilian international Wilton Rebolo through the 2026 Major League Rugby season. His signing was initially reported by Paul Tait of American Rugby News and has been confirmed by Elite Athlete Management, Instagram eam_sports. The 28-year-old plays all three front-row positions and is 6’0″ and 265 lbs.

Wilton is projected to join RFCLA from the Super Rugby Western Force where he played 64 minutes in one start in 2023. He also played 196 minutes in 5 matches, starting once for Northland in the National Provincial Championship.

Wilton played 565 minutes in 15 matches, starting 5, and scored 1 try for Rugby  New York in 2022, and played 541 minutes in 13 matches, starting twice, and scored one try for New York in 2021. He returned to Uruguay before the 2021 season concluded to join the Brazil National Team for a South American Rugby World Cup 2023 qualifier test against Uruguay.

Wilton quickly made himself invaluable to New York in 2021, by his versatility in the front row and his sense of humor, which proved an asset as a team member.

Wilton played for the Austin Herd during the 2020 pre-season, however, an injury derailed his inclusion for the Gilgroins during the truncated regular season.

Wilton José Murilo Rebolo or Nelson, as he is often called, was born in São Jose dos Campos, Brazil, and played club rugby for São José, Band Saracens, the Bandeirantes Rugby Club, and Pasteur Athletique. He played for the Brazil National Team, the Tupis, in 35 matches in the front row as a loosehead prop, tighthead prop, and hooker. He made his test debut against Germany at Blumenau on November 28, 2015.

Wilton attended the World Rugby Combine in Glendale, Colorado in October 2018 and played for the Rugby Americas Selects against the Glendale Raptors.
