Austin Gilgronis re-signed Cameron Dodson for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old lock is 6’7” and 245lbs.
Cam, who was signed as a free agent by the Gilgronis for the 2021 season, after being undrafted despite being identified by rugby pundits as the number one projected collegiate player in the MLR Collegiate Draft. He played 569 minutes in 12 matches, starting 6, and scored one try.
Cam is from Stafford, United Kingdom. He attended Wolgarston High School, graduated in 1993, and played rugby and soccer. He local club Stafford R.U.F.C when I was a child and then moved to Stoke on Trent R.U.F.C., which is a higher-ranked regional team when I was around 16.
He attended Grand Canyon University from 2017-2020 earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management, and Marketing. He also was a key contributor to the D1A rugby program.
