San Diego Legion Re-Signs Oliver Kane

San Diego Legion signed Oliver Kane for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old tighthead prop (26 in April) is 6’4″ and 270 lbs.

Oliver played 4 minutes in 1 match for the Legion in 2023. He mainly played for the USA Hawks during their South American tour during the season.

Oliver is from Nashville, Tennessee.  He attended Father Ryan High School and began playing rugby in his junior year.

From 2016 through his graduation in 2020, he attended Spring Hill College and played rugby. He was the Badgers captain in his junior and senior years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and  Sociology.  He also developed his passion for cooking and the creative arts by working on a taco truck while there.

Oliver enrolled in a Master of Education Degree at the University of San Diego from 2020 through 2022. He continued playing rugby and was the team’s captain during the 2021-2022 season. The team won their league in XVs and the National title at the Rugby Sevens Collegiate Championship.

In 2022 he attended a  World Rugby six-week training camp.
