San Diego Legion Signs Connor Tupai

San Diego Legion signed Connor Tupai for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. Connor, who will be 24 years old later this week, plays scrum-half and has played fly-half, as well as inside center. He is 6’2” and 196 lbs.

Connor was born in Rotorua, New Zealand, but grew up in Northampton, England where his family moved to in 2015 when he was 5, when his father Paul was contracted by the Northampton Saints.

Connor attended the Northampton School for Boys and played rugby, as well as playing for the Northampton Saints Junior Academy. In 2016 his School team reached the NatWest Schools Cup Vase Final at Twickenham Stadium and scored a winning drop goal. After the game, he was named Man of the Match.

He joined the Saints Senior Academy in 2018 and played with the Northampton Saints until 2022. He also played with the Bedford Blues between 2019 and 2022.

During the 2022-2023 season, he played for Randwick in the New South Wales Shute Shield.

Connor also has played rugby for Chinnon Rugby Club.
