RFC LA Signs Max Katjijeko

Rugby Football Club Los Angeles signed Namibia international Max Katjijeko for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old flanker/lock (29 in April) is 6’5″ and 235 lbs.

Max is from Windhoek, Namibia, and attended Windhoek High School and then the University of Namibia. He played rugby in 32 matches for the Welwitschas from 2017 through 2019, and in July 2017 made his debut for Namibia’s national Team against Tunisia. He has 24 test caps and has played in the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups.

In 2020 he played in 1 Super Liga Americana match with the Olimpia Lions before the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He joins RFC LA after playing with Ordizia Rugby El Kartea in the Spanish Rugby Division de Honor.
