RFC LA Obtains Conor Young

Rugby Football Club Los Angeles signed Canadian international Conor Young for the 2024 Major League Rugby season after a trade for 2024 salary cap considerations with the New England Free Jacks. The 28-year-old prop is 6’1″ and 250 lbs.

Conor played 74 minutes in 4 matches for the New England Free Jacks in 2023. He then played for Southern Districts in the New South Wales Shute Shield, as well as for Canada against Tonga, Spain, and Brazil. He now has 5 caps for Canada.

Conor is from Yamba, New South Wales, Australia, and attended Nudgee College before going to Wollongong University from 2014 through 2018.

Conor is Canadian eligible and played for Canada Under 20s in the 2015 World Rugby Trophy competition in Lisbon, Portugal.

Conor has played for Southern Districts in 53 matches, starting 33, in the New South Wales Shute Shield since 2015 and also played for the Greater Sydney Rams three times in the 2017-2018 National Rugby Championship.

He also excelled in the Scottish Super 6, playing for the Southern Knights, and recently earned selection to the wider Reds Super Rugby squad.

Outside of rugby, Conor is an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and fisherman.
