NOLA Gold Signs Augusto Bohme

NOLA Gold signed Chile international Augusto Böhme Aleparte for the 2024 Major League season.  The 26-year-old hooker (27 in June) is 5’9” and 215lbs.

Augusto played 257 minutes in 6 matches, starting 2, and scored 2 tries for Selknam in 2023. He then played in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France for Chile as a reserve against Japan, starting against England and Argentina.

In 2022, he began the season for Seattle, starting once for 68 minutes, before being loaned to the Dallas Jackals after an accident left the Jackals short-handed. He played 217 minutes in 4 starts for the Jackals.

In 2020 and 2021 Augusto played for Selknam in the Super Liga de Americano.

Augusto is from Santiago, Chile, and played club rugby with Universidad Católica and professionally for Selknam Rugby in the Super Liga de American de Rugby (SLAR).

Augusta made his international debut for Chile against the United States at Maipu on 2 February 2019 and helped the team eliminate Canada from the 2023 Rugby World Cup in America’s Qualifiers. The team will face the United States to see who will be in the RWC as the Americas 2 team. Augusta has 25 international test caps.
