NOLA Gold Signs Domingo Saavedra

NOLA Gold signed Chilean international Domingo Saavedra for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The center, who will be 26 years old next week, is 5’11” and 210 lbs.

Domingo is from Santiago, Chile, and attended the Grange School. He then went to the University of Chile from 2017 through his graduation in 2023 with a Degree in Commercial Engineering, Business, and Management.

Domingo played rugby for the Old Grangonian Club in Santiago (“Old Boys” and then professionally for Selkham from 2020 through 2023.

He also played for Chile’s National Team where he debuted against Hong Kong in 2017 and played in all four matches at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, with his twin brother Clemente also on the team. Domingo has 28 caps. Both brothers have followed their father, Emilio in playing for the Cóndors.
