Old Glory DC Signs Joe Wrafter

Old Glory DC signed Joseph Wrafter for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old loosehead prop (28 in January) is 6’0″ and 250 lbs.

Joe was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, United Kingdom, and is U.S. Eligible through his grandfather being born in Brooklyn, New York in 1931. Joe attended Old Winford Hospital School and graduated in 2010.

Joe has had numerous rugby honors, playing rugby for Gloucestershire, North Midlands, and foe England Counties in their 2018 tour to Romania. He also represented England on the Under-16s.

He played rugby for Birmingham Mosley from 2017 through 2019, making 52 appearances. He played for the Bedford Blues for two seasons between 2019 and 2021 in the English Championship and was loaned to the Harlequins for the 2020-2021 Guinness Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup season.

In 2021-2022 he played for the Doncaster Knights in the English Championship. In 2022-2023 he played for  Harpury University RFC. and was named to the English Championship team of the season.
