Toronto Arrows Signs Nick Brown

The Toronto Arrows signed Nick Brown for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old back-row (27 in January) is 6’3″ and  238 lbs.

Nick is from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and attended The Kings School, Parramatta, and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from Leeds Beckett University.

Nick began playing rugby when he was 8 for Dural Rugby Club in Northwest Sydney before playing for Chatswood Club. He represented Gordon District Rugby while winning four State Championships. He was a member of the Waratahs Generation Blue Program between the ages of 12 and 15. Since he was 16, Nick represented New South Wales in the U16s and U18s, as well as the Australia U18s and the Waratahs Sevens U20s squad.
 
Nick played on the Waratahs Extended Player Squad from the age of 18 years and made his debut for Gordon 1st grade Shute Shield when he was 18 years old. He then played for Southern Districts in the Shute Shield in 2019-2020 before moving to Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom on a scholarship to play BUCS Super Rugby.
 
He played five A-League games for the Harlequins and was capped in the England Universities team that played France in Newcastle in 2022, winning Player of the Match honors. In 2022 he was also named in the 2022 Super BUCS Rugby Team of the Year.
 
Nick returned to Australia in 2023 as an injury cover in the finals for Manly Rugby Club in the Shute Shield 2023 Manly First Grade Shute Shield. Nick will be reunited with his brother Jordan in 2024 with the Toronto Arrows.

Nick was the winner in the Australian Realty Series, FBoy Island Australia, a 10-episode series on Binge in May 2023, and will join the Arrows along with his new partner from the Series, Molly O’Halloran, who is an Occupational Therapist.
