San Diego Legion Adds Maceo Brown
By Grant FeeleySan Diego Legion signed Maceo Brown for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old center/wing is 6’1″ and 205 lbs.
Maceo is from Chandler, Arizona and attended Carona del Sol High School. He was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, and basketball and played rugby since he was six. Maceo attended Grand Canyon University and played rugby on the university team.
He played for the USA Sevens team since 2018 and has played in 12 HSBC Sevens tournaments, most recently at the Cape Town Sevens in 2019. In 2019 he also played in the Rugbytown 7s for the Ramblin Jesters, the Oktoberfest Sevens in Germany, the AF International 7s, Rugby X, and in 2020 played with the USA Falcons in the Coral Coast Sevens in Fiji.
Maceo is in the USA Sevens Residency program and when available will suit up for the Legion in 2020.
