World Rugby is the sanctioning organization for rugby. Rugby 15s, 10s and 7s are played. National Men’s and Women’s teams play in the Rugby World Cup, RWC Sevens, in the HSBC Sevens, & Women’s Sevens Series, and in competitions, like the Americas Rugby Championship, Americas Pacific Challenge, Rugby Americas North tournaments and U20 & U18 competitions.

The Final Qualification Tournament for Rugby World Cup 2023 will take place at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai from 6-18 November, 2022. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format over three match days (6, 12 and 18 November) at The Sevens Stadium. The team with the most competition points after three rounds will qualify for RWC 2023, joining Wales, Australia, Fiji and Georgia in Pool C. Tournament participants include Hong Kong (Asia/Pacific 2), Kenya (Africa 2), Portugal (Europe 3), and USA (Americas 3) which will determine the 20th and final qualifier for Rugby World Cup 2023 in France.…

The USA Men’s National Team held off the French Barbarians’ comeback bid in Houston on July 1 for a 26-21 win. The team now faces a Rugby World Cup 2023 qualification two-game series against Chile which begins this Saturday, July 9 at 6:00 PM EDT in Santiago. The total or points aggregate will determine who officially qualifies for next fall’s Rugby World Cup in France. World Rugby Release World Rugby has issued a statement to help fans better understand the process of identifying and managing concussion in elite rugby. Any player who displays clear signs of concussion during a match such as loss of consciousness, loss of balance and dazed etc., should be permanently removed from play and must not return to play before 12 days.
