World Rugby is the sanctioning organization for rugby. Rugby 15s, 10s and 7s are played. National Men’s and Women’s teams play in the Rugby World Cup, RWC Sevens, in the HSBC Sevens, & Women’s Sevens Series, and in competitions, like the Americas Rugby Championship, Americas Pacific Challenge, Rugby Americas North tournaments and U20 & U18 competitions.

Newcastle Falcons & Paul Mullen The Newcastle Falcons announced on 14 August 2018 that Paul Mullen signed a short-term, four-month contract to play as part of the Gallagher Premiership season.  Mullen is from the Aran Islands, Galway, Ireland. He was USA eligible and previously played for the USA under-20s in Tbilisi, Georgia at the Junior World Rugby Trophy. Mullen also played age grade rugby for Munster under-18s, 19s, and 20s, as well as for Ireland under-19s. 2018 GIO Wheelchair Rugby World Championship The 2018 GIO Wheelchair Rugby World Championship was won by Japan with a 62-61 victory over previously undefeated Australia. The USA claimed the bronze medal with a 47-36 win over Great Britain. The tournament was held in Sydney, Australia from August 5-10, 2018. Tyrrells Premier 15s Fixtures The Tyrrells Premier 15s 2018-2019 fixtures were announced by the Rugby Football Union earlier today. There will be 18 rounds, beginning 8-9 September and culminating with playoffs and a title final on 27 April 2019. The venue for the Final will be announced in due course. The League will consist of 10 teams with each team having home and away fixtures. Harlequins Paul Lasike The Premiership Rugby Harlequins announced the signing of Paul Lasike, who captained the Major League Rugby Utah Warriors for the season. The New Zealand-born 28-year-old was capped six times for the USA Eagles and was a factor in the Eagles 30-29 victory over Scotland in June.
