World Rugby is the sanctioning organization for rugby. Rugby 15s, 10s and 7s are played. National Men’s and Women’s teams play in the Rugby World Cup, RWC Sevens, in the HSBC Sevens, & Women’s Sevens Series, and in competitions, like the Americas Rugby Championship, Americas Pacific Challenge, Rugby Americas North tournaments and U20 & U18 competitions.

The Four Nations Wheelchair Rugby Invitational was held on May 22-25, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama at the Lakeshore Foundation. USA Rugby will host the Women’s Rugby Super Series from June 28 to July 14 with the world’s top five teams competing in a round-robin tournament in the greater San Diego area. The Super Series will feature No. 1 New Zealand, No. 2 England, No. 3 Canada, No.4 France, and No. 5 United States.
