Old Glory DC signed Michelangelo ‘Mikey’ Sosene-Feagai for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old hooker is 5’11” and 235 lbs.
Mikey is from Apia, Samoa and lived in Auckland, New Zealand. He attended Sacred Heart College in 2011 and later at Waikato University where he played rugby. He was with the Hawke’s Bay Saracens (Development) squad in 2014 and 2015 played with the Magpies against Canterbury in 2015. In 2016 be played with the San Diego Breakers in PRO Rugby. He also has played one match for Belmont Shore in the U.S. and played for Ardmore Marist and Auckland Marist in New Zealand.
In 2018, Sosene-Feagai joined the Auckland Mitre 10 Cup squad. The team went 9-1 during the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership and defeated Canterbury in the finals.
Mikey has represented the USA National Team (Eagle 471) five times at hooker, three times as a starter, and is qualified to play for the USA based on birth. He made his debut for the Eagles against Canada on February 13, 2016, in the Americas Rugby Championship and last represented the United States against Japan at the Pacific Nations Cup on August 10, 2019, in Suva, Fiji.
