Rugby United New York added Erik Tack for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old wing is 6’1″ and 190 lbs.
Erik is from Greenwich, Connecticut and attended Greenwich High School from 2009-2013. While there, the team won 4 straight State Rugby Championships and was recognized as one of the leading high school programs nationally.
Upon graduation he attended the University of Maryland from 2013-2017, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He played rugby at Maryland and played with the team at the Collegiate Rugby 7s. he also played club rugby with Rocky Gorge and then switched to Old Blue, helping the team go undefeated in the American Rugby Premiership and winning the 2018 Elite Cup.
Erik is one of several talented young players who has joined RUNY for the 2019 season. He practiced with the team but did not play in the 2019 MLR season. Erik played for Old Blue in the 2019 American Rugby Premiership.
