The Colorado Raptors signed Mason Emerson for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old wing/fullback is 5’9″ and 180 lbs.
Mason is from Hastings, New Zealand and attended Lindisfarne College, a Presbyterian boarding and day school for boys, from 2007-2013. He played for the first XV in the Hurricanes Schools & U18s, as well as the New Zealand Schools team in 2014. He also played for the New Zealand U20s in 2016.
Since 2015 he has played with the Hawke’s By Magpies and joins the Raptors after the recent Mitre 10 Cup competition.
Mason also played club rugby with Hastings Rugby Club. He also played in the Hong Kong 10s with the Yokohama Tradition team and at the Yokohama tournament as well.
