Rugby ATL signed Dr. Jamie Ferrante for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old prop is 5’11” and 250 lbs.
Jamie is from Center Moriches, New York and attended Center Moriches High School where he played football for the Red Devils. After graduation in 2011, he attended SUNY Potsdam from 2011-2015. He received Bachelor’s Degrees in both Biology and in Chemistry and played rugby at the college for 4 years.
He enrolled at Life University in 2015 and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree earlier this week. He played for Life undergraduate team during the 2015-16 season and for the last three years for the Senior Men’s Team. The team won the 2016 Men’s Division 1 National Championship, the 2017 D2 National Championship and he captained the side for 2019 D1 National Championship.
The team also won three consecutive Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Tournament Premiership Championships and were the first team for this accomplishment.
Jamie brings leadership and experience for Rugby ATL in the front row for 2020.
