San Diego Legion Re-Signs Faka’osi Pifeleti for 2020
By Grant FeeleySan Diego Legion added Faka’osi Pifeleti in May 2018 and he was a key contributor during the 2019 Major League Rugby season, playing in all matches. Based on his performance, Legion Supporters can look forward to his return in 2020.
Faka’osi was born in California and is of Tongan heritage. His family moved to England where he attended Oaklands College Hertfordshire. Prior to signing a contract with the Legion, the 22-year-old (23 in October), 6’0″, 265 loosehead prop, was playing with the Saracens Storm with his younger brother Kapeli.
Both brothers excelled for the Legion in 2019 and it is expected that Kapeli, a hooker, will be back in 2020.
