Old Glory DC Signs Gordon Fullerton

Old Glory DC signed Gordon Fullerton for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. Gordon is a 21-year-old tighthead prop (22 in November), who is 6’1″ and 256 lbs. He played for Te Awamutu and trained with the wider Waikato Mitre 10 Cup squad in New Zealand.

Gordon comes from a dairy farming family with 500 cows that require attention every day. He attended St. Paul’s Collegiate School, a boarding school in Hamilton for five years and graduated in 2015. He played rugby for the 1st XV and in 2015 also played with the Chiefs Under-18s and the Waikato Under-18s. He then attended Lincoln University from 2016-2017 on scholarship, completing a diploma in Agriculture, as well as playing rugby for the Lincoln Colts. In 2016 he also played for the Canterbury Under-19s at the Jock Hobbs Memorial Tournament.

Then it was on to Te Awamutu and also with Waikato Mitre 10 team. Gordon is U.S. eligible as his mother is American and was born in Oregon.

Gordon is a welcome addition to Old Glory DC, as tighthead props are an important position in building a team.
