Nick Blevins Joins PRO Rugby San Francisco Team

Nick Blevins joins the PRO Rugby San Diego team from Canada. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta and plays for the Calgary Hornets. He has played for the provincial team, the Prairie Wolf Pack at the Canadian Rugby Championship. Nick also has been a member of Canada’s National team, earning 31 caps. He was awarded his first in 2009 in a match against Japan. He scored his first try against Russia in 2012. Most recently, he was also part of Canada’s team at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and also played in the 2016 Americas Rugby Championship.

Canada will have at least six players in the inaugural season of PRO Rugby. Nick Blevins played with the Prairie Wolf Pack alongside Hubert Buydens who joined the San Diego Team. Also on the San Diego team is Phil Mackenzie at Center. Ray Barkwill, a Hooker, will play with the Sacramento team. It is also expected that Jake Ilinicki will be announced shortly with San Diego. Kyle Ballie is slotted for the Ohio Team.
