Fred Waititi Named Sacramento PRO Rugby Coach

“PRO Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of Fred Waititi as Assistant Coach for the Sacramento team in PRO Rugby’s 2016 inaugural season. A native of New Zealand, where he played Provincial rugby for Northland, Fred led the Gentlemen of Aspen to national titles in both 15’s and 7’s. Waititi has also coached extensively on three different continents and is a widely respected skills coach.”

All the Sacramento team needs are its players, as an excellent coaching staff now exists. Fred joins the Sacramento team and will work with Head Coach, Luke Gross and Kevin Battle, also an Assistant Coach. Read DJCoil Rugby Luke Gross  and Kevin Battle articles.

Previously, Paul Keeler was announced as the Head Coach of the San Francisco team. The other team that has been announced by the League is in San Diego. Two additional cities will be announced soon by Steve Lewis.

Tiger Rugby has been involved in the two PRO Rugby combines in Irvine, California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
