PRO Rugby Names Paul Keeler As San Francisco Head Coach

“PRO Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Keeler as Head Coach for the San Francisco team in PRO Rugby’s 2016 inaugural season. Keeler, a World Rugby Level 3 coach, is one of the United States most successful and respected coaches, having led national powerhouse clubs San Francisco Golden Gate and Old Blue, as well as steering the USA “A” and other representative sides. He is very familiar with all levels of the game in Northern California, most recently as Head Coach of the University of Santa Clara.”

PRO Rugby matches for the San Francisco team will be played at Boxer Stadium in Balboa Park. San Francisco was the second team of six named in the PRO Rugby professional circuit that begins in April, 2016.

Sacramento, California has also been named with matches being played at Bonney Field. It is expected that PRO Rugby will be sharing both the other four team locations along with coaches shortly. Players will follow early in the new year.
