Rugby ATL Adds Bill Fukofuka

Rugby ATL added Bill Fukofuka for the remainder of the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old back row is 6’4″ and 240 lbs.

Bill was born in Tonga and attended Atele College. He began playing rugby with his brothers when he was 10 years old and also enjoys playing squash.

Bill was the captain of the Tonga U20s that came in 4th place at the 2015 World Rugby U20 Trophy competition. He also was named to the Tonga National Team for the November 2016 tests. He also played for the San Francisco Rush in the now defunct PRO Rugby league in 2016.

He has played for the Southland Stags since the 2014-2015 season and in 2017 was named Southland premier club player of the year. He plays blindside flanker on the Mitre 10 Cup team and plays club rugby for the Blues.

Bill will make his MLR debut on Sunday, February 23 at No.8 for Rugby ATL against Rugby United New York.
