Austin Gilgronis Adds Erik Jacobson
By Grant FeeleyThe Austin Gilgronis added Erik Jacobson ahead of the opening 2020 season match against the Toronto Arrows. The 32-year-old lock is 6’5” and 235lbs.
Erik is the captain of the Chicago Griffins and played with both Andrew and Roland Suniula. The Chicago Griffins compete in the Midwest Premier Division.
Eric also was selected for the Chicago Lions President’s XV which played a preseason match against the Houston SaberCats in 2028.
He is from Lockport, Illinois and currently lives in Chicago. He attended Lockport Township High School and played youth rugby with the Chicago Blaze. He attended Illinois State University, majoring in Business and played rugby.
