The Houston SaberCats signed Nicolás Solverya for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old loosehead prop is 6’1″ and 243 lbs.
Nicolás attended San Felipe School and played club rugby for CUBA in the URBA. He played for Argentina XV since 2016 in the Americas Rugby Championship and in the 2018 Nations Cup. He also played in the Americas Pacific Challenge.
In 2019 he played for the Jaguares XV in the Currie Cup First Division and elected to sign with the Houston SaberCats in MLR rather than signing with Súper Liga Americana de Rugby.
