Austin Herd Adds Brazil International Wilton Rebolo
By Grant FeeleyAustin Herd added Wilton Rebolo for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old hooker/prop is 6’0″ and 275 lbs.
Wilton José Murilo Rebolo or Nelson, as he is often called, played club rugby for São José, Band Saracens, and the Bandeirantes Rugby Club. He played for the Brazil National Team, the Tupis, in 24 matches, 21 of the tests in the front row at loosehead prop, tighthead prop, and at hooker.
He made his test debut against Germany at Blumenau on November 28, 2015, and his last test match was against Uruguay at Montevideo on March 9, 2019.
Wilton attended the World Rugby Combine in Glendale, Colorado in October 2018 and played for the Rugby Americas Selects against the Glendale Raptors.
Austin Elite Rugby needs some reinforcements in the front row and Nelson should be a welcome addition with his international experience.
