The Seattle Seawolves re-signed Taylor Krumrei for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old lock is 6’6″ tall and 245 lbs.
During the 2019 MLr season, Taylor played 506 minutes in 12 matches, carried 17 times for 78 meters, and made 86 tackles. The 2020 season will be his third with the team.
Taylor Krumrei began playing rugby in his senior year in high school for Lamorinda Rugby Club in Moraga, California. He attended Campolindo High School from 2006 until he graduated in 2010. He then went on to play in college at the University of Oregon from 2010 to 2014 where he graduated majoring in Human Physiology.
After graduating, Krumrei moved to Seattle to play for the Seattle Saracens except for a four-month period in 2017 when he trained with the Waikato Premier Rugby Club in New Zealand. He then returned to Seattle in 2017 and joined the Seattle Seawolves for the inaugural 2018 Major League Rugby season. At season’s end, it was an excellent feeling to have helped the team win the Championship.
Following the season, Taylor returned to play with the Seattle Saracens and was selected to play with the USA Rugby Selects in the Americas Pacific Challenge. He also returned to play with the Seattle Saracens following the 2019 season.
