Utah Warriors Adds Ricky Tu’ihalangingie

The Utah Warriors signed Roderick ‘Ricky’ Tu’ihalangingie for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old hooker/prop is 6’2″ and 245 lbs.

Ricky is from Kolomotu’a, Tonga and attended Newington College in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia from 2010-2011. He was a versatile player, playing hooker, blindside flanker, No.8 and inside center. He also played at Sydney University.

From 2012-2014 he went on a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Wellington, New Zealand.

He has attended Brigham Young University since 2016 and expects to graduate in December 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with a health science emphasis. He played rugby with the team since 2016 and was the captain during the 2017-2018 season.
