Utah Warriors Adds Veremalua Vugakoto

The Utah Warriors have added Veremalua Vugakoto to the team for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old hooker is 6’1″ and 238 lbs. Veremalua or Taukanoa as he is sometimes referred to will be 22 at the end of December.

Veremalua is from Daviqele, Kadavu, Fiji and attended Nelson Boys College in Sigatoka.

He was the captain of Fiji’s U20s and has played for the Fiji National Team 9 times. He made his debut for Fiji against Samoa on June 9, 2018, and his last match was at the 2019 Rugby World Cup against Georgia on October 3.

Veremalua has also played for the Fiji Warriors, Nadroga Rugby, Suva Rugby, Fijian Drua, and the Global Rapid Rugby’s Fijian Latui. On November 16 he will play with the Flying Fijians against the Barbarians.
