Utah Warriors Signs Dwayne Polataivao

The Utah Warriors continue to add Oceania Rugby talent, as they have added Dwayne Polataivao for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old scrumhalf is 5’8″ and 202 lbs.

Dwayne recently returned from playing for Samoa in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He has played in 13 tests, the last one against Ireland on 12 October. Samoa finished 4th in Pool A and gained a win over Russia. Dwayne gained his first cap in 2016 and played in the 2019 Pacific Nations Cup ahead of the RWC.

Dwayne attended De LaSalle College in Auckland, New Zealand form 2002-2008. He played for the Tasman Rugby Union in 2014 and for Auckland in the 2015-2016 National Rugby Championship. Most recently, he played professionally for Doncaster Knights in the United Kingdom.
