Utah Warriors signed Richard Stanford for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 33-year-old (34 in April) lock/flanker is 6’5″ and 234 lbs.
Richard is from Wellington, New South Wales, Australia and attended The Scots College from 1999-2004. Following his graduation, he attended Monash University from 2005-2012, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Commerce.
Richard played with the ACT Brumbies from 2005-2008, the Melbourne Rebels in 2007, Western Force in 2008-2010, Honda Rugby Union Team in Suzuka-shi, Mie Prefecture, Japan in 2010, and the NSW Waratahs in 2011. Since 2013, he has played with the Combined NSW-QLD Country and for the NSW Country Eagles since 2014.
In 2020, Richard will bring his leadership from playing Super Rugby to Utah Warriors.
