The Toronto Arrows have re-signed Pat Lynott for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old loosehead prop is 5’10” and 250 lbs. During 2019, Pat played 182 minutes in 10 matches and made 26 tackles.
Pat is from Chelsea, Quebec, which is north of Ottawa. He played rugby at Philemon Wright High School. Following his graduation, he pursued several avenues before attending Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He played there for the past four years, serving as a captain the past two, and will be graduating with a degree in Global Development and Wealth Studies in April. The team was OUA Men’s Rugby Champions in 2017.
Pat plays club rugby with the Bytown Blues Rugby Club. He has played representative rugby with Eastern Ontario in 2016 and for the Ontario Blues.
Pat is not a stranger to the Arrows organization, as he has played with the team in exhibition matches since its inception in 2017. With the Arrows having multiple players on international duty with Canada and Uruguay, the team needed some cover at prop and called on Pat to join the Arrows again prior to the MLR match with Austin Elite Rugby.
