Toronto Arrows Re-Signs Tom Van Horne

The Toronto Arrows signed Tom Van Horne for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. Tom played 11 games for the Arrows in 2019, including in the MLR semifinals, and is playing for the Brantford Harlequins this Summer. The 29-year-old, 6’5″, 255 lb. lock is from Hespeler, Ontario.

Tom attended the Jacob Hespeler Secondary  School from 2004-2009 and then went to the University of Guelph from 2009-2014, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Commerce (B.Com) Degree in Human Resource Management and played rugby there.

Tom played club rugby for the Brantford Harlequins and has been with the team since 2011 and on the Executive Committee since 2013. He also captained the team.

Tom played with the then Ontario Arrows during their 2018 exhibition season, including the Fall.

Tom is a key contributor for the set pieces for the Arrows and has been a key contributor for the Toronto Arrows during the 2019 Major league Rugby season. He also is joined on the team by his twin brother Josh.
