New England Free Jacks Signs Tolu Fahamokioa

The New England Free Jacks signed Tongan international prop Tolu Fahamokioa for the 2020 Major League Rugby season. He is 28-years-old, 6’3″ and 250lbs.

Tolu is from Haveluloto, Tonga, and mover to New Zealand in 1999. He attended Wellington College (NZ).

Tolu played club rugby for Tawa Rugby Football Club. He played with the Wellington Lions from 2013-14, making 13 appearances. In 2014 he played for the Hurricanes Development team against the New Zealand Under-20s. He also made one appearance for the Hurricanes in 2015 after training with the Super Rugby team. In 2015-16 he played with the Mitre 10 Cup Hawke’s Bay Magpies.

In 2017 he was selected for the Provincial Barbarians team that faced the British & Irish Lions in Whangarei on June 3.

Tolu also represented Tonga for the Ikale Tahi against Georgia on November 24, 2018, in the Pacific Nations Cup.

Tolu now brings his international and Mitre 10 Cup experience to New England for the 2020 MLR season.
