“The Jamaica Rugby Football Union is pleased to announce Stephen Lewis as the new Head Coach of the Jamaica 7’s team for the Olympic Qualifier Tournament in Cayman Islands on July 6-7th, 2019. While in Jamaica, Stephen will assist in the preparation of the Women’s 7’s team for the tournament with Coach Huntley Anderson.”
“The whole world knows the quality of athletes Jamaica produces and I firmly believe Jamaica can become a genuine force in the World of 7’s Rugby in short order, and I look forward to starting work and helping them on that journey”, said Lewis.

World Rugby Level 3 coach.
Lewis is the 2015 & 2019 USA. Rugby Coach of the Year.
A native of Glasgow, Scotland, he is one of the United States’ most experienced and successful 7’s coaches
having won a National Championship with the Bulldogs in 2018.
He also coaches the USA Collegiate All-Americans (U-23), and the Army West Point Women’s program, as well as being the Head Coach/Founder of the Northeast Academy, one of USA Rugby’s most successful 7’s pathway programs.
A member of the USA Rugby Congress, Lewis is also the 7’s representative on USA Rugby’s Performance Game Board, and a regular TV analyst and
commentator.
