The New England Free Jacks have utilized Ahmad Harajly for their exhibition season match against Rugby United New York on December 1, 2018. The 25-year-old center is 6’4″ and 225 lbs.
The New England Free jacks have an extensive 2019 exhibition season of matches. The Cara Cup begins March 16 and will see the team facing the Connacht Eagles, Ulster Ravens, Munster A, and Leinster A. The team will also play the Toronto Arrows, Lansdowne FC, and Old Glory DC.
Ahmad is from Michigan and attended Dearborn High School. While there, he played with the Dearborn Silverbacks and since graduating in 2012, with the Detroit Tradesmen. He was a High School All-American and has represented the U.S. National team at the Senior level in both 15s and in 7s.
He played in the Elite City 7s in 2014, with the USA Falcons in 2015 as the team captain at the Las Vegas Invitational, and at the 2015 Rugbytown 7s with Atlantis. He also earned a cap for the Eagles 7s at the Wellington Sevens in 2015.
In 2016 he played with the USA Selects in the Americas Pacific Challenge. He also played professionally with the Ohio Aviators.
Ahmad is employed as a Biomedical Equipment Technician and has attended Henry Ford College since 2017.
Ahmad is an experienced back who can play center of in the back three. His speed, power, and height should make him an asset for the Free jacks in 2019.
