Draw for Rio Paralympic Games Wheelchair Rugby will be on June 2

The International Wheelchair Rugby Federation will conduct the draw for the Wheelchair Rugby competition at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games on June 2, 2016. The draw will take place in Sheffield, United Kingdom, under the supervision of the IWRF Competitions Committee.
The eight qualified teams will be drawn into two pools for the Rio competition. The draw will be done in pairs, with the pairs seeded based on the current IWRF World Ranking list. One team from each pair will be drawn into each pool:
Pair 1 Canada (1) United States (2)
Pair 2 Japan (3) Australia (4)
Pair 3 Great Britain (5) Sweden (6)
Pair 4 France (7) Brazil* (19)
* The host country for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Brazil, will be given their choice of pools after the first three pairs have been drawn, with France being assigned the other pool.
The draw process will be recorded, and the recording will be posted online, accessible through the IWRF web site, at 13:00 UTC, Friday, June 3, 2016.
At the Rio Paralympics, each pool will play a single round-robin, with the top two teams from each pool proceeding to the medal round. The competition schedule for Rio 2016 will be prepared by IWRF in consultation with the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee following the draw.
