Austin Elite Rugby Adds Simon Bienvenu

Austin Elite Rugby has added Simon Bienvenu for the remainder of the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old center is 6’3″ and 210 lbs.

Simon is from Toulouse, France and began playing youth rugby with US Saint Pierre des Corps Rugby. He played for Stade Toulousain Under-16s and won the Alamercery Tournament, France’s most competitive one. He also represented Toulouse’s Under-23s in the French Championship Elite Espoir and then played for the Stade Toulousain U23s Academy from 2015-2017. He captained the team during the 2016-2017 season.

Simon then signed with Racing 92 for the 2017-2018 season in the Top 14 league. He played for Racing Metro in the 2018 Grand Prix Series Sevens and has made one appearance for France in Sevens.

Simon attended Lycée Raymond Naves and then Grenoble Ecole de Management for Sport and Management from 2018-2020.
