Major League Rugby is a professional USA league that began in 2018 and has teams in the U.S. and in Canada. Current MLR teams include Austin Elite Rugby, Glendale Raptors, Houston SaberCats, New Orleans Gold, Rugby United New York, San Diego Legion, Seattle Seawolves, Toronto Arrows, and the Utah Warriors. In 2020, teams in Atlanta, New England, and Washington, D.C. will join the league and have exhibition matches in 2019.

The New England Free Jacks signed Tevita Sole to a 3-year contract through the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old loosehead/tighthead prop (23 in January) is 6’0″ and 265lbs. The Dallas Jackals signed Chad London for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 33-year-old center is 6’1″and 220 lbs. Chad was originally signed to play with the Dallas Jackals in 2021. He set up his chiropractic practice in Arlington, Texas in 2020, and with the postponement of the Jackals entry into the league, focused on his practice. Rugby United New York re-signed Conor McManus for the 2022 Major League Rugby season.  The 22-year-old scrumhalf is 5’10” (178 cm) and 187 lbs (85 kg). The Utah Warriors signed Mick O’Gara for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 21-year-old flyhalf, who is U.S. eligible through his grandfather Martin O’Gara, is 5’11” and 205 lbs. Mick began playing rugby in 2006 at age 6 with Greystones Rugby Club and then for Pres Cubs in 2011. In 2013 he went to Presentation College Bray and continued to play rugby, his main sport.
