Men’s College Rugby has four levels, D1A, D1-AA, DII and NSCRO. Championships are held in each of these divisions in rugby 15s and in the later 3 divisions in sevens.

National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) NSCRO Release The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) NSCRO has officially awarded the South Cup Championship, Mid-Atlantic South Region Championship, Central Region Championship, and Northeast Region Championship events as part of its Fall men’s playoffs. These hosts are official ‘on-the-clock’ and have been handed host responsibilities for these NSCRO flagship events. New England College Women’s Rugby On July 11, 2018, Lou Izzi, Director of Athletics at New England College, announced the addition of varsity women’s rugby as the school’s ninth women’s sports offering. The women’s rugby team will begin competition in the fall of 2019.  A national search for the program’s first full-time head coach was conducted and Tom Campbell was hired as the College’s first-ever women’s rugby head coach. Louisville vs. Tennessee Rugby The University of Louisville hosted the University of Tennessee Men’s Rugby Club on Saturday, September 1 in the first match of the season. Tennessee snatched the win in the closing seconds with a try for a 24-20 win. The Louisville Cardinals finished their 2017 Mid America Rugby Conference in third place and head coach Emil Walton hopes to improve upon that this season. Iona College Rugby vs. UMass Iona College Men’s Rugby hosted UMass in the opening match of the D1A Rugby 2018-2019 season in New Rochelle, NY last night winning 59-15. The match was broadcast on ESPN+. Iona College starters include 5 freshmen, 1 transfer and 1 player at a new position. Two additional freshmen were replacements. Virginia Commonwealth University Men’s Rugby Richmond, VA Nick Hill will be the next head coach/director of rugby of the Men’s Rugby Club at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
