West Houston Rugby Club announced the hiring of Head Coach Pedrie Wannenburg. Pedrie has played rugby for two decades as a professional rugby player and was a player-coach for Austin Elite in 2018 and an Assistant Coach for the team in 2019. During 2019-2020 he was a project manager and sales representative in the Houston area. Pedrie played 20 times for the South Africa Springboks from 2002-2007, the Blue Bulls 2001-2010, Ulster from 2010-2012, Castres from 2012-2014, and Oyonnax from 2014-2016.
