Rugby Americas North Release March 18, 2021 – Today, Rugby Americas North’s Executive Committee (EXCO), in conjunction with World Rugby, provided an update regarding regional qualification for Rugby World Cup 2023 (RWC) in France. Due to the inability to host international matches during the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Rugby Americas North (RAN) 15-a-side competition involving Mexico and Caribbean nations that traditionally acts as the initial phase of qualification in our region will not take place in this four-year cycle. Rugby America’s North Superweek The Rugby America’s North (RAN) Superweek Men’s U19 & Women’s 10s Tournaments are being held in Mexico City, Mexico from July 8-14, 2018. Mexico, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and USA Rugby South U19 teams will play a round-robin tournament on July 8, 11 and 14, and USA Rugby South, Bahamas, Mexico, and Jamaica women’s 10s teams will compete on July 12 and 13. USA Rugby South Panthers vs. Trinidad & Tobago The USA Rugby South Panthers will travel to Port of Spain, Trinidad for the second leg of the Rugby America’s North Men’s 15s Championship against Trinidad & Tobago. The Panthers opened their defense of the title against Bermuda on May 12, winning 48-28, while Trinidad & Tobago beat Bermuda the following week on May 19, 27-24. USA Rugby South Panthers Defeat Bermuda The USA Rugby South Panthers traveled to Bermuda to open defense of their Rugby Americas North Championship title and came home with a 48-28 win.
