Seattle Seawolves Signs Jade Stighling

The Seattle Seawolves signed South African back Jade Stighling for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 30-year-old wing/center (31 in May) is 6’0″ and 205 lbs.

Jade is from Johannesburg, South Africa, and played rugby throughout high school. He attended the University of South Africa from 2016 through 2018.

He joined the Blue Bulls Academy in Pretoria in 2012 and played 9 seasons with the organization through 2021. He played in the Currie Cup, Supersport CChallenge, Super Rugby, and Super Rugby Unlocked, as well as for the UP Tuks in the Varsity Cup.

From 2021 through 2023, he played with the Barloworld Toyota Pumas in the Currie Cup, with the team winning in 2022 and being the runner-up in 2023.
