Utah Warriors Signs Louis Conradie

The Utah Warriors signed South African lock Louis Conradie for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old lock (28 in June) is 6’8″ and 260 lbs.

Louis was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and graduated from Paul Roos Gymnasium, Stellenbosch. In addition to playing rugby in school, he played with the Boland Cavaliers in 2016.

His rugby career has taken him throughout the world, playing in South Africa, Japan, New Zealand, South America, and 2024 in North America. In 2017-2018 he played with the Free State XV and the Toyota Cheetahs. In 2019, he played with the Asia Pacific Dragons and Otago in the Mitre 10 Cup in New Zealand, currently the Bunnings NPC.

Covid-19 limited his time with Peñarol in Uruguay in the Superliga Americana de Rugby and he returned to Japan to play with the NTT Shining Arcs in Tokyo. In 2021 he returned to South Africa to play with the Blue Bulls and then returned to Japan from 2021 through 2023 to play with the Toyota Berblitz in Nagoya, Aichi.
