The New England Free Jacks signed Danyon Morgan-Puterangi for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old center, who also has played flyhalf and fullback for Takapuna Rugby Football Club, is 6’0″ and 205 lbs.
Danyon, who is of Samoan, Māori, and New Zealand heritage, is from North Shore, New Zealand. He is one of eleven siblings and joins the Free Jacks after playing in 2023 for North Harbour in the Bunnings National Provincial Championship.
He played first XV rugby at Westlake Boys School in Auckland and studied at Massey University. He also has played for the New Zealand Touch Blacks since 2016.
