Toronto Arrows Re-Signs Tyler Wong

The Toronto Arrows re-signed Tyler Wong for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old hooker is 6’2”.and 230 lbs.

Tyler played 177 minutes in 5 matches, starting 3, after joining the Toronto Arrows during the 2023 season. He carried 19 times for 117 meters, had 48 ruck arrivals, 24 tackles, beat two defenders, and made an offload. Following the 2023 MLR campaign, Wong earned a call-up to the Canadian national side for its August tour to Fiji and Tonga.

Tyler was born in Costa Rica and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He began playing rugby at Carson Graham Secondary School. 

He then played rugby for the University of Victoria, earning a bronze medal in the 2018 Canadian University Nationals and the championship in 2019.

Tyler played for the Canadian Under20s in 2018 against the United States and in 2019 toured with the team in Portugal. During the 2022-2023 season, he played with the Pacific Pride.
