Utah Warriors Re-Signs Sione Mahe

The Utah Warriors re-signed Sione Mahe Nau for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old flyhalf (24 in January) is 6’0″ and 185 lbs.

Sione played for the Utah Selects in 2023 and signed with the Utah Warriors for the 2023 season, but did not play during the regular season.

Sione was born in Provo, Utah, and his hometown is Herriman, Utah. He attended Kahuku High and Intermediate School, as well as Herriman High School, playing rugby at both schools. He began playing rugby in 2010 and was a USA High School All-American and also played at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2018.

Sione attended Snow College from 2021 through 2023, earning an Associate of Science Degree in Construction Management. He played football, rugby, volleyball, and pickleball while there.

Sione played for the Canyons in the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Shield and has played with the Loonies in the Premier Rugby Sevens.

When he isn’t involved with rugby, he enjoys fishing, golfing, bowling, listening to music, and riding a moped.
