New England Free Jacks Signs Piers Von Dadelszen

The New England Free Jacks signed Canadian international Piers Von Dadelszen for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old back-row/lock is 6’4″ and 230 lbs.

Piers was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He attended Whitgift School, where he completed his A levels in Mathematics and Physics. He then enrolled at Oxford University where he completed his Master’s Degree in Engineering. While there, he has earned three Oxford Rugby Blues.

Piers expected graduation is in Summer 2023 as he is “completing his fourth-year dissertation on the application of machine learning to aid in medical diagnosis for pregnant women from ultrasound imaging.”

Piiers played for the Canadian U18s in 2018 and has earned four caps for the senior National Team. He should earn more in the 2023 November internationals in Spain.
