Miami Sharks Obtains Alex Glover

The Miami Sharks signed Alexis Glover for the 2024 Major League Rugby season according to social media posts. The 25-year-old hooker (26 in December) is 6’0″ and 240 lbs.

Alex played in one match for the Seattle Seawolves in 2023 and did not see regular-season playing time in 2022 with the Seawolves. Instead, he played with Seattle RFC while continuing to train with the Seawolves.

Alex is from Oakland, California, and attended Saint Mary’s College High School from 2012 to 2016. He attended Santa Barbara City College from 2016 to 2017 and played rugby for Academy Director, Kevin Battle, who now is the Operations Manager of the  LA Giltinis.

He was a trialist for the USA Under-20s in 2017, and Summer spent three months in New Zealand playing for Rotorua.

Alex attended Saint Mary’s College of California, playing D1A Rugby, beginning in 2017 and ending with his graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnic Studies in 2020. He was also a lifeguard while at the college.

In 2021, Alex played for the LA Giltinis Academy, before joining the Seattle Seawolves ahead of the 2022 season. He has played during the preseason for the Seawolves.
